Early on Lauren discovered two passions in her life. While her left brain loved science, her right brain wanted to create. She received her degree in Fine Arts, then moved on to a rewarding career as a Registered Nurse. Lauren relocated from Connecticut to Head Island Island in the mid 70’s, then moved to Bluffton in 2004. Now retired, she pursues her love of painting full time.
Lauren’s acrylic work has evolved into a fast and furious, bold and colorful impressionistic style. More recently she has been experimenting with watercolors. You may find her painting, demoing, or teaching in La Petite Gallerie’s beautiful garden, or creating new work in her home studio. People, landscapes, local flora, architecture, and the culture of the south are her subjects.
Lauren is a displaying member at La Petite Gallerie and and the Society of Bluffton Artists located in Bluffton’s Art District. You may also find her work at Alexander’s Restaurant on Hilton Head Island.
Over the years, Lauren has received awards and recognition for her talent. Most recently, her artwork was selected by the Bluffton Rotary for the 2023 Mayfest poster. Additional works are available on her Instagram and Facebook pages as Lauren Arsenault.
